High carbon spring steel plate description
High carbon spring steel plate is the most widely used elastic element in automobile suspension, it is composed of a number of pieces of equal width but not equal length (thickness can be equal, also can not be equal) of alloy spring pieces combined into an approximate equal strength of the elastic beam.
High carbon spring steel plate classify
(1) Multiple spring: By multiple pieces of unequal length, the same width of the steel sheet superimposed. The plates of multiple leaf springs are stacked into an inverted triangle shape, with the longest steel plate at the top and the shortest steel plate at the bottom. The number of plates is related to the weight of the supporting passenger car. The more the thicker and shorter the plate, the greater the rigidity of the spring. However, when the leaf spring is used for a long time, the pieces will slide and friction each other to produce noise. The relative friction between steel plates will also cause spring deformation, resulting in uneven driving
(2) less spring: by the two ends of the thin middle thick, equal width and length of the steel sheet superposition. The steel plate section of fewer leaf springs changes greatly, and the section from the middle to both ends is gradually different, so the rolling process is more complex, and the price is more expensive than the spring. Compared with multiple spring, under the condition of the same stiffness (that is, the same bearing capacity), fewer spring is about 50% lighter than multiple spring, which reduces fuel consumption and increases ride comfort. And there is less point contact between the single spring, which reduces the relative friction and vibration, and increases the ride comfort
