316 stainless steel coil Description
Molybdenum and a higher nickel content than type 304 increase corrosion and oxidation resistance, reduce pitting particularly when exposed to various acids or other harsh environments and increase performance of the metal at elevated temperatures. Like Type 304, this material has exceptional fabrication and formability characteristics, is easy to clean and offers an excellent combination of high strength and light weight..316 stainless has high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, including in marine or extremely corrosive environments. It is stronger, though less malleable and machinable than 304,Surface: BA surface, 2B surface, NO.1 (white), 2D surface, NO.4 (frosted), HL(drawn), 8K surface surface good quality
316 stainless steel coil advantage
An austenitic chromium-nickel molybdenum stainless and heat-resisting steel, Type 316 has an excellent corrosion resistance particularly against pitting versus other chromium-nickel steels, especially when exposed to different chemicals. These corrodents consist of brine solutions, seawater, and similar salts and acids. This alloy deep draws well and is easily welded, although carbide precipitation may occur when slowly cooled through the temperature range of 800°-1650°F. High strength and the resistance to creep at elevated temperatures characterize type 316.
316 stainless steel coil application
Applications include builder’s hardware, chemical processing equipment, fabricated parts subjected to reducing atmospheres, fertilizer components, exhaust manifolds, turbine and jet engine parts.
