Hastelloy C-276 advantage
The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in oxidation and reduction states. Excellent resistance to point corrosion, crack corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Alloys are suitable for a variety of chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. The high content of molybdenum and chromium makes the alloy resistant to chloride ions, and tungsten further improves its corrosion resistance. Hastelloy C-276 is one of the only materials capable of resisting the corrosion of humid chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. The alloy is remarkably resistant to high concentrations of salt chloride solutions (e.g. Ferric chloride and copper chloride).
Hastelloy C-276 description
Hastelloy C276 Pipe is a titanium stabilized chromium nickel molybdenum alloy. This combination has a number of advantages and provides a high range of mechanical properties.
