321H Stainless Steel Pipe description
321H Stainless steel is a widely used stainless steel where parts are heated and exposed to corrosive atmospheres within the carbide precipitation temperature range (800°F-1500°F). 321 stainless steel is similar to 304 stainless steel, but has a higher nickel content and is stabilized with titanium. Titanium preferentially reacts with the carbon in the steel and prevents chromium carbide from precipitation at the grain boundaries, thereby maintaining corrosion resistance by preventing chromium depletion near the grain boundaries when exposed within a critical temperature range.
