There are mainly cold - rolled stainless steel square and hot - rolled stainless steel square. 304 stainless steel square steel is a long stainless steel bar with a square cross section. 304 stainless steel square steel has the advantages of light weight, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, etc.304 is the most used grade of stainless steel with excellent weldability and good corrosion resistance. 316 has excellent corrosion resistance and weldability but is harder to machine.Stainless steel square is highly durable and corrosion resistant – perfect for projects that may be exposed to the elements, including extreme temperatures.

The difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel square steel
The Grade 304 Square Bar is made up of the 304 grade of stainless steel which has 18% chromium and 8% nickel in the composition and possesses 515MPa minimum tensile strength, 205MPa minimum yield strength and up to 870 degrees Celsius operating temperatures. The Stainless Steel 316 Box Bar is made up of similar material with added molybdenum to the composition which makes it more corrosion resistant than the 304 bar. The material has similar mechanical properties except for the improved corrosion resistance against salt water and chloride iron rich solutions
