416 stainless steel flat bar Description
416 stainless steel flat bar is a martensitic free-working grade stainless steel that can be hardened by heat treatment to increase strength and hardness. Due to its low cost and ease of processing, 416 stainless steel is easy to use in its highly tempered state. It exhibits better processing characteristics than the austenite grade, but at the expense of corrosion resistance. High sulfur and easy cutting grades such as Alloy 416 are not suitable for ships or any chloride exposure.416 stainless steel low carbon content, good corrosion resistance, 416 is easy cutting martensitic stainless steel, can be enhanced by heat treatment, 416 strength and machinability than 304 and 316, the friction coefficient is small, but the corrosion resistance is not as good as 304 and 316.
