Alloy 400 Flat Bars (UNS N04400) has good magnetostrictive properties. Alloy K500 Flat Bars (UNS N05500) are resistant to various reducing chemicals & caustic alkalies. Nickel & cobalt base corrosion, temperature and wear-resistant alloys, such as MONEL K500, are categorized as moderate to hard when machining, however, it must be highlighted that these alloys can be machined by using conservative production approaches at reasonable rates.Alloy 400 is slightly magnetic at room temperature.

Monel Stainless Steel Flat Bar is resistant to seawater corrosion in addition to a range of acids and other corrosive media.It does not undergo a ductile – to – brittle transition even when cooled to the temperature of liquid hydrogen. Monel Bars is in marked contrast to many ferrous materials which are brittle at low temperatures despite their increased strength. Monel 400 Rods is notable for its toughness, which is maintained over a considerable range of temperatures. Both cold – worked and hot-worked Monel Stainless Steel Flat Bar requires thermal treatment to develop the optimum combination of strength and ductility and to minimize distortion during subsequent machining.
